Frequently Asked Questions
How do I become a member of the Tyee Club?
Any donation you make to UW Athletics automatically qualifies you for membership — a $100 gift to The Competitive Edge Fund, a gift tied to your season-ticket seats, establishment of a scholarship endowment, notification to us that you’ve remembered Husky Athletics in your will.
Are my donations tax-deductible?
Yes! Your gift to the Tyee Club is tax-deductible, however seat-related gifts are not.
What are the benefits of joining?
There are too many to count! Depending upon the amount of your gift, you’ll receive a subscription to The Tyee Difference magazine, a Dawg tag to wear, invitations to exclusive events and more. Determine your annual benefits.
I’m a season ticket holder. How does membership increase my priority points for seating?
As a season ticket holder and Tyee Club member, you’ll receive a ranking based upon accumulated priority points. Your priority ranking can help determine the location of your football and basketball seats, parking and other benefits. Priority points are earned by how much you donate to UW Athletics, how long you’ve been a Tyee Club member and how many consecutive years you purchase tickets. Learn more about priority points.
Why are my donations important? Don’t things like gate and TV revenues cover all the expenses for UW Athletics?
Private gifts account for more than one-quarter of the revenue we need to provide student-athletes with an extraordinary Husky experience, to recruit the best coaches and players, and to prepare young men and women for success in competition, in the classroom and in life. Your donations to the Tyee Club make you the most essential member of our team. Learn more about why you are important.
What is the most impactful way to donate and show my support?
We welcome any and all gifts, whether they are to support a specific team, to establish a scholarship endowment, or to match your passion to any program or cause you care about. One of the most powerful ways you can support the academic and athletic success of your Huskies to make a gift to The Competitive Edge Fund, which provides much-needed and flexible funding for student-athlete scholarships; tutoring and other academic support; leading-edge technology and conditioning equipment, leadership and mentoring programs, study-abroad opportunities, internships and other learning experiences; recruitment of the nation’s best coaches; and much more.
I want to make a significant gift or establish an endowment. How do I proceed?
Thank you! The Tyee Club staff is eager to meet personally with you to better understand the impact you want to make and to connect you to the most meaningful opportunity to support your Huskies. Please email us or call 206.543.2234.
