Basketball great Isaiah Thomas returned to Alaska Airlines Arena earlier this year for a rousing ceremony to retire his No. 2 jersey.
The 2008-2012 Husky star and Tacoma native, who now plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, thanked his coaches, teammates, the Dawg Pack and other fans.
“The UW provided me with the opportunity to pursue my dreams which I am living today as a college graduate and an NBA player. More importantly, the relationships I made here have been invaluable in making me the person I am today.”
He dedicated his honor to his sister, Chyna, who died in an auto accident last year.
